WASHINGTON, D.C. — Responding to plummeting approval ratings for party leadership, Senate Democrats announced on Monday that they will move to nominate a new ranking member for occupation of the Cuck Chair.
Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY), who has held the role for years, has seen his approval numbers plummet in recent weeks, leading other Democrats to eye the cuck chair in hopes that they might get to watch their nation get railed during the next session.
“In this time of crisis, we need a chairperson who believes in our party’s shared vision for the future,” Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) said in a Monday interview. “That vision being, of course, to sit quietly in the corner and watch while Republicans fuck everything. It’s really, really hot to see your people get governed so hard like that. It’s the only thing that gets me going these days.”
The beige lounge chair, requisitioned from a local Sheraton Inn, has caught the eye of numerous Democrat legislators looking for an opportunity to show their capacity for sniveling submissiveness.
“Senator Schumer has done well in the position for years now, but it’s time someone else got a chance to sit there and watch,” said Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA), considered a favorite for the role. “There’s something so gratifying about having a constituency you trust get fucked by someone else for a change while you get a front-row seat. It’d be an honor to be nominated to be that guy.”
Schumer remains insistent that he will maintain the position in the face of this setback. “I’ve served the American people meekly and diligently from the Cuck Chair and do not plan to step down,” the Minority Leader clarified last week. “It’s been the joy of my life to listen to the people moan about affordability while they’re being penetrated by my political rivals. I have no intention of handing over the chastity cage during this time of desperately sexy crisis.”
The DNC notes that it is waiting on permission from Daddy to proceed.
